The Build

The final stage in the process was the final build. This process, simply put, was the stage where the completed instruments were to be built into the physical glider cockpit control panel and subsequently tested. Unfortunately, COVID-19 limitations prevented this from happening and instead an at home build was completed to verify proof of functionality. An array of instruments was completed on a desktop.

The design process that we selected as a group handed itself toward a modular work flow which enabled an easy final build.

Consider this phase as 'plug and play'. If the prototyping process was carried out effectively then the final generation instrument housing prototypes would be easily combined with their electrical counterparts.

Once built an official documented testing and verification process was complete to determine project success. The results of this can be found in the project report.
